David J. Eckes graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of
Architecture Degree in 1980. In that same year he moved to Reno, working
in local architecture firms where he acquired experience in commercial,
governmental, municipal, retail and residential architecture. He became
licensed in Nevada in 1986, is nationally certified by NCARB, and is licensed
in Idaho since 2001. Dave is an active member of the American Institute of
Architects (co-chair for 2008 thru 2010 CANstruction, an event which
raises food donations for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada), and he is a
member of the International Code Council.

Experiences include nine year tenure as Facilities Project Architect at
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), serving as Acting Director of
the Plant & Facilities Department for almost one year. Dave was the
campus project manager on the Vista Building, E.L. Cord Child Care Center,
the new campus library, Sierra Building/Advanced Technology Center, and
architect for all tenant improvements for TMCC at Old Town Mall.
